Why is the Think Manufacturing Expo a big deal?

Why is the Think Manufacturing Expo a big deal?

As you are no doubt aware, careers in manufacturing are thriving here, with an average wage of $51, 000 annually.   90% of the AWT member companies offer tuition reimbursement, and some even pay for textbooks.     The Think Manufacturing Student Expo will give teachers, guidance counselors, principals, students and parents the opportunity to learn more about the many benefits of high tech manufacturing careers, right here in Northeast Ohio.

Through its annual Robobot competition, AWT matches high school robotics classes with area manufacturers through exciting robot battles.  This expo takes those connections to a different level, and invites students to ask questions like “What’s a quality engineer? How much school would I need to attend to work here?” and anything they might want to know.  Prompts are provided to make it easy for the students to engage at what might possibly be their first career fair.
